The first 'EFG Gramophone Conversation at Foyles' will take place on Thursday, December 11 at 7pm
Gramophone, EFG International and Foyles have teamed up to bring you a monthly Conversation with one of the great musicians of our day. Supported by EFG International, the private bank for classical music, the Conversations will take place in the auditorium of Foyles' new store on Charing Cross Road in London.
The first 'EFG Gramophone Conversation at Foyles' will take place on Thursday, December 11 at 7pm when the great flautist Sir James Galway, recipient of Gramophone's 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award, will be talking to James Jolly about his career, his time as Karajan's Principal Flute in the Berlin Philharmonic, commissioning new music and his work with artists from all walks of musical life.
Sir James will also sign copies of his recordings and one member of the audience will win a copy of the recent 73-disc box-set 'James Galway: The Man with the Golden Flute', generously donated by Sony Classical.
Tickets cost £5 and include a glass of wine. For more information visit: www.foyles.co.uk.
